Community Based Care Partners with CustomCARE to Expand Geography and Home and Community-Based Services
Community Based Care (CBC) of Morrisville, North Carolina, a leading provider of home and community-based services and a Smith Anderson client, has acquired CustomCARE, a leading Minnesota homecare company operating in 87 counties and specializing in providing homecare services to the Medicaid population, according to a press release.
Community Based Care and its family of providers provide exceptional caregiving, personal care services to seniors and veterans, and supportive services to families, seniors and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They serve over 5,000 clients in Minnesota, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Virginia, and employ over 3,000 team members.
The combined expertise of Community Based Care and CustomCARE will broaden the scope of services, streamline operations through best-in-class technology and enhance care for persons served in Minnesota. Services range from personal care assistance, in-home supports, respite, homemaking, chore services and private duty nursing for specific medical conditions.
Smith Anderson represented CBC in the transaction, with attorneys Robert Shaw, Josiah Irvin, John Gibson, Kara Brunk and Nicholas Santos handling the acquisition.
