Pete Marino Authors Article on Rights Provided to Contractors and Material Suppliers Under the North Carolina "Lien Law"

Smith Anderson partner Pete Marino recently authored an article The Contractor's 'Sledge Hammer' - The Sale of the Owner's Property (or Threat Thereof) Under North Carolina's Lien Law. Under this law, contractors and materials suppliers can actually force the sale of the owner's real property to satisfy lien rights. The article sets forth the information construction law practitioners need to know about the lien foreclosure sale process in North Carolina.
