Smith Anderson Partners with the Habitat for Humanity of Wake County’s Women Build Project

Raleigh, N.C. – On November 7th, a team of nine women lawyers from Smith Anderson participated in Habitat for Humanity of Wake County’s Women Build program. This is the second year that Smith Anderson has supported the Women Build program.  The Firm’s team of women lawyer volunteers was organized and led by associate Lauren Bradley.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed getting out of the office to work together in the community,” said Bradley.  “We continue to support this project because this community is in need of affordable housing, and the Women Build initiative is particularly important given the number of female heads of households.”

Partner Rose Kenyon is a former chairman of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County and served as Honorary Co-Chair of the 2014 Women Build program.  The Women Build project is supported by diverse groups of women who come together to fund and build a home.  The project aims to empower women to take leadership roles in construction and learn new skills while building a home for a hardworking family in need of safe, affordable housing.
