Smith Anderson Lawyers Present at the 2014 NCMBC Defense Contractor Academy

Raleigh, N.C. – On Friday, March 14, 2014, Smith Anderson lawyers Jackson Moore and David Hayden presented classes on Teaming Agreements, Bid Protests and Contract Administration to more than 30 students attending the North Carolina Military Business Center’s (NCMBC) 2014 Defense Contractor Academy. The presentations discussed how government contractors can develop teaming strategies with other companies to succeed in government contracting and the most effective ways to address disputes in the awards of contracts by federal agencies. 

About Jackson Moore

Jackson is the head of Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting practice group and a member of the firm’s Data Use, Privacy and Security practice group. His dispute resolution practice also focuses on litigation, mediation and arbitration involving businesses. Jackson speaks and publishes regularly on issues affecting government contractors. In addition, he authored “Cybersecurity, Counterfeit Parts and the Government Contractor,” a chapter in the 2013 edition of Inside the Minds: Government Contracts Compliance

About David Hayden

As a member of Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting practice, David represents a variety of defense contractors, advising on a broad range of federal contracting corporate issues such as International Trafficking in Arms Regulations (ITAR), corporate ethics and organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) compliance issues. He also advises companies and their directors and officers on corporate governance matters and other general corporate and business topics.
