Jackson Moore, David Hayden Present at the NCACPA’s 74th Annual Symposium
Raleigh, N.C. – On November 20, 2013, Smith Anderson attorneys Jackson Moore and David Hayden co-presented at the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants’ (NCACPA) 74th Annual Symposium in Greensboro, N.C. They were joined by Gregg Funkhouser from Dixon Hughes Goodman to address legal and accounting issues in Government Contracting.
During the presentation, Jackson and David provided attendees with an assessment of the effects of sequestration and the recent government shutdowns, as well as strategies for complying with government contracting issues including Ethics and Self Reporting; System of Award Management (SAM); False Claims Act and qui tam/whistleblower actions; the Defense Contract Audit Agency and its performance; Protecting Company Internal Audits and Investigations; and Cybersecurity.

Jackson is the head of Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting practice group and a member of the firm’s Data Use, Privacy and Security practice group.
