Overview

Sidney Wiswell is an attorney with Smith Anderson’s Real Estate Development group, where she advises clients on land use & zoning and commercial real estate. Her practice includes supporting clients throughout the development process, including zoning and permitting and condemnation and eminent domain actions.

Before joining the firm, Sidney served as a student attorney at The University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where she gained experience working in the Housing Policy, Environmental, Actual Innocence and Civil Rights Clinics. She also served as Managing Editor for the Texas Environmental Law Journal. Prior to law school, Sidney worked as a paralegal and in community outreach and relations, further developing her skills in client service and advocacy.

A couple of fun facts: Sidney’s team won the 2022 Intramural Flag Football Championship at University of Texas School of Law, and as a child, she spent time living in Tarija, Bolivia. She enjoys running, hiking with her dog and baking sourdough.
