Overview

Seth Berger is a member of Smith Anderson’s Banking & Finance and Corporate & Transactional practice groups, where he supports a variety of corporate matters, commercial lending and other financial transactions.

As an intern in the chambers of Chief Judge Stroud at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, Seth conducted legal research and assisted with drafting opinions. Before law school, Seth worked in fiduciary administration at one of the nation’s largest banks, auditing and reviewing compliance for trust, IRA and investment accounts, and previously supported bookkeeping operations for a sole proprietorship. His background reflects a strong foundation in legal research, fiduciary compliance and financial analysis across both public and private sector organizations.

Beyond his work, Seth enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and paddleboarding and finds joy in playing the piano, especially the music of his favorite composers—Bach, Beethoven and Chopin.
