Overview
Jeff Hurst serves as Chief Operating Officer of Smith Anderson, where he leads the firm’s business operations. An integral member of the firm’s senior management team, Jeff plays a key role in shaping and executing the firm’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Managing Partner and Management Committee. He holds overall responsibility for the firm’s core business operations, partnering closely with firm leadership to align financial management, administrative services, human resources, technology and innovation, conflicts, facilities and practice support to enhance firm performance, strengthen client service and advance Smith Anderson’s long-term strategic goals.
Jeff brings two decades of experience leading finance and operations for complex, fast-growing organizations. A North Carolina Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, he has led end-to-end business operations spanning finance, budgeting and forecasting, human resources, information technology, facilities, vendor management and information governance. Throughout his career, Jeff has led operating planning and performance management and partnered with boards and executive teams on strategic planning, operational excellence and scalable growth.
Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and staying active around the Triangle.
