Erin A. Catlett

Erin Catlett is a member of Smith Anderson’s Real Estate Development team with a focus on land use law, including rezonings, quasi-judicial decisions, and litigation for both public and private sector clients. She represents municipalities, developers, property owners, and other stakeholders throughout North Carolina on zoning, entitlement, and transactional issues. Erin has experience navigating complex land development processes and supporting a range of commercial real estate matters, including leasing and transactions for large-scale development projects such as office buildings, retail centers, commercial spaces, communication towers, and solar energy facilities.

Before joining Smith Anderson, Erin practiced at a national law firm where she advised clients on a variety of matters, including land use entitlements and litigation, commercial and office leasing, and served as Deputy Town Attorney for a local municipality, where she advised the planning board on land development and rezoning regulations.

Outside of her practice, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She also loves trips to the beach, listening to audiobooks, and connecting with family and friends.
