Overview

Bill Moss has experience in all phases of civil litigation, including trial court and appellate representation. He has represented public utility companies in land condemnation matters for natural gas transmission line easements and for high-voltage electric transmission easements. He has represented both owners and municipalities in other land condemnation matters and has also represented the North Carolina Department of Transportation in the defense of multiple inverse condemnation lawsuits filed by property owners (Map Act cases).

Bill has represented physicians, nurses, hospitals and other health care providers and organizations in medical malpractice actions at the trial and appellate levels. Bill has provided risk management advice to health care providers and defended manufacturers of medical products and devices, and he has represented insurers in coverage disputes.

He has also represented print and broadcast media in a variety of contexts, including First Amendment issues, pre-publication review, and the defense of defamation claims.
