Smith Anderson’s M&A and Finance practices continue to be ranked in the North Carolina chapter of IFLR 1000: The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms.

Four Smith Anderson lawyers were also named in the guide. Managing Partner and Corporate lawyer Gerald Roach, Private Equity practice lead Byron Kirkland and Life Sciences co-lead Chris Capel were recognized as Highly Regarded practitioners, and Public Companies partner Heyward Armstrong was recognized as a Rising Star.

According to IFLR, the IFLR1000 is the guide to the world's leading financial and corporate law firms and lawyers. The first rankings were published in 1990 and the guide currently covers over 120 jurisdictions worldwide. Rankings are based on three key criteria: transactional evidence, peer feedback and client feedback. The IFLR1000 rankings are a reflection of a firm’s long-term track record in the market.
