BTI Consulting Group has named Smith Anderson to its BTI Client Service A-Team 2026, a national ranking of 258 law firms recognized for client service, based solely on feedback from corporate counsel and business leaders who hire and work with them.

Now in its 25th year, the BTI Client Service A-Team is designed to assess how law firms perform through the eyes of clients. The 2026 report draws on BTI’s ongoing Annual Survey of General Counsel, which includes legal decision-makers at large organizations with $700 million or more in revenue, as well as chief legal operating officers and business executives who influence the selection of law firms.

BTI’s analysis is based on 17 objective ranking factors that corporate counsel identify as driving the strongest law firm-client relationships. The report notes that elite client service goes beyond responsiveness, friendliness, and avoiding mistakes. According to BTI, the firms delivering the strongest client service change how clients think, act, share information, make decisions, allocate risk, and distribute opportunity.
