The Durham Herald-Sun Discusses Chatham Park Lawsuit Dismissal with Mitch Armbruster

The Durham Herald-Sun

N.C. Superior Court Judge Paul Ridgeway recently dismissed the third of three lawsuits filed against the proposed Chatham Park development in Pittsboro, North Carolina, by an opposition group attempting to significantly curtail the project.

The Durham Herald-Sun sought comment from Smith Anderson Partner Mitch Armbruster, who represented the Park’s developer.

“After review of each of the individual claims in the lawsuit, Judge Ridgeway dismissed the entire case because the plaintiffs failed to state a claim or lacked standing to bring those claims,” Mitch told the newspaper. “We are very pleased with the judge’s ruling that the Town of Pittsboro Board of Commissioners acted in accordance with the law when granting approvals requested by the developers of Chatham Park.”

The Herald-Sun article was subsequently reposted on Bloomberg.com.
