Smith Anderson Named Leading Core Firm for High Tech Industry by BTI

The BTI Industry Power Rankings 2017: The Law Firms with the Best Client Relationships named Smith Anderson as a “Leading Core Firm” for the High Tech Industry, placing the firm among the top 10% of the 650 law firms analyzed by BTI.

The BTI Industry Power Rankings is the only law firm ranking based solely on direct, unprompted feedback from corporate counsel about the strength of client relationships. According to BTI, results were compiled based on 960 in-depth telephone interviews with corporate counsel conducted between March 2015 and February 2017.

Attorneys in Smith Anderson’s Technology practice group have represented many of North Carolina’s technology-based companies in business transactions and litigation. As part of one of the leading business and litigation law firms in the Research Triangle region, the Technology team combines Smith Anderson’s long history of committed service and client focus with extensive experience in the evolving technology landscape.

This honor is the latest accolade the firm has received from BTI. In May 2017, Smith Anderson was awarded a spot on the BTI Brand Elite list, which recognized the firm as placing in the top 4% of 650 law firms.

In February 2017, Managing Partner Gerald Roach was named a BTI Client Service All-Star and MVP for a second year. He is one of 319 attorneys across the United States to be selected for the All-Star honor in 2017 and one of 54 attorneys to receive the MVP designation for being recognized two years in a row.

In November 2016, Smith Anderson was named to the BTI Client Service A-Team 2017, an elite list of client service leaders based solely on direct, unprompted feedback from corporate counsel.
