Smith Anderson Lawyers Serve the USO of North Carolina

Raleigh, NC (January 11, 2010) - Kirk Warner and Martin Lancaster, Smith Anderson lawyers, serve as members of the United Service Organizations (USO) of North Carolina board of directors. Warner was recently re-elected Vice-Chairman of the USO of North Carolina.

The mission of the organization is to serve and support America's military and their families. The USO of NC has served more than 222,000 military members, military retirees and their families this year from the RDU and Charlotte-Douglass airport centers and from the Fort Bragg and Jacksonville centers.

The USO of NC served at the “front lines” in 2009 - welcoming nearly 105,000 at airport centers, providing troops with more than 22,000 care packages, saying farewell to more than 11,000 troops at deployment sites, welcoming home nearly 10,000 returning warriors and ensuring the dignified return of fallen heroes and offering compassion for the loved ones as they pass through the state’s airport centers. The USO of NC provides the "Home Away from Home" for service men and women and their families.
