NCADA Installs Chris Kiger as President-Elect

The North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys has named Smith Anderson attorney Chris Kiger its new president-elect.

Chris most recently served as executive vice president of the NCADA and oversaw this year's “stellar” programming during its annual meeting in Wilmington on June 18, when he was installed as president-elect.

NCADA is a professional organization of more than 800 attorneys and paralegals who serve as a voice for defense counsel representing the interests of businesses and individuals in civil litigation through dealings with the judiciary, public positions on matters of interest, and participation in a variety of events connected with the bench, bar and business community.

Chris is an experienced trial lawyer and litigator who focuses his practice on product liability, environmental and toxic tort and business disputes in matters often involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death or property damage. In more than 18 years of managing and trying cases, Chris has represented businesses in a broad array of areas including automotive, asbestos, consumer, medical device/pharmaceutical, power tools, recreational products, toxic exposure, utilities, environmental contamination and construction. Chris has also tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has represented companies in North Carolina and around the country in his role as national trial counsel.
