Merrill Mason and Andrew Fisher Judge the Second Round of the 13th Annual Duke Start-Up Challenge

RALEIGH, N.C. – Merrill Mason and Andrew Fisher served as judges for the second round of the 13th Annual Duke Start-up Challenge. Merrill and Andrew provided feedback for eight idea summaries generated by Duke student teams. The goal of round two was to review and score the top eight teams in the competition (includes the winners of each track as well as the people’s choice winner, which was decided by a Facebook Poll).

The Duke Start-Up Challenge is an entrepreneurship competition that runs the course of the academic year, from November to April. The competition includes an Elevator Pitch Competition in November, an Executive Summary Competition in February, a Business Plan Competition in March and the DSC Grand Finale in April. Several cash and in-kind prizes are awarded to participants in every phase of the Start-Up Challenge. Teams are also provided with feedback at every phase by a panel of reputable judges, to help them progress to the next stages of the Duke Start-Up Challenge and beyond.
