Alicia Gilleskie and Freddie Zufelt Present at North Carolina Society of Healthcare Attorneys Meeting

Raleigh, NC (May 13, 2010) - Smith Anderson lawyers Alicia Gilleskie and Freddie Zufelt presented a program entitled "Implementing Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records" for the North Carolina Society of Healthcare Attorneys on May 12, 2010. The program, held at the Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh, featured an overview of the Medicare and Medicaid incentive programs for "meaningful users" of electronic health record systems, and addressed considerations in forming strategic alliances for the adoption of these technology systems.

The North Carolina Society of Healthcare Attorneys is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide professional education and other services to North Carolina attorneys who have an interest in healthcare law. The Society serves as a resource to its members with a wide variety of programs and activities that reflect the diversity of health care clients.

Ms. Gilleskie is a member of the Firm’s Corporate practice group, and Mr. Zufelt is a member of the Firm’s Health Care practice group.
