Diversity and inclusion at Smith Anderson means embracing the differences that make us unique and celebrating the variety of experiences and backgrounds that reflect the communities and clients we serve.

Smith Anderson hosts an annual networking reception for diverse in-house lawyers dedicated to bringing clients, colleagues and friends together in unique spaces to foster relationships, community building and engagement. Our receptions provide the space to share information, advice and referrals and to support career development.

This year’s event was designed to offer a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, while providing an opportunity to enjoy Jazz music at Raleigh’s premier speakeasy. Jazz music is viewed by many as “America’s classical music,” originating in the African-American communities of New Orleans and developed from roots in blues and ragtime.

Events like this one allow our firm to celebrate and honor our diverse colleagues who work in-house and to promote their personal and professional success.
