Smith Anderson, the largest law firm headquartered in the Research Triangle region, welcomed Cerretta Amos, Taylor Dewberry, Ian Longacre and Will Robinson as the firm’s newest associates in 2017.
Smith Anderson welcomed Cerretta Amos to its Real Estate Development practice group, where she focuses on easement negotiations; real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leasing; title disputes; public utility real estate issues; right-of-way acquisitions; and condemnation/eminent domain actions. Prior to joining Smith Anderson, Cerretta practiced real estate law with a large national law firm. She is a graduate of the Duke University School of Law.
Taylor Dewberry joined Smith Anderson after graduating from the Washington University School of Law. Taylor completed internships with Chief Justice Mark Martin of the North Carolina Supreme Court and Judge James A. Wynn Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She joined the Smith Anderson team as an associate in the Employment, Labor and Human Resources practice group.
A graduate of the Emory University School of Law, Ian Longacre joined Smith Anderson as an associate in the Life Sciences and Technology practices. His experience includes assisting companies in the acquisition, management, licensing and commercialization of intellectual property; partnering transactions; and commercial and research and development relationships, among other things. Ian was previously an associate in the Boston office of a large national law firm.
Will Robinson is an associate in Smith Anderson’s Mergers and Acquisitions, and Data Use, Privacy and Security practices. He focuses on representing companies on general corporate matters, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to attending the Duke University School of Law, Will worked as a business journalist for Bloomberg in New York.
