Matt Martin Appointed Chair of Code and Operations Committee of the Wake County Planning Board

Raleigh, NC (May 6, 2011) - Matt Martin, a lawyer with Smith Anderson, has been named Chair of the Code and Operations Committee of the Wake County Planning Board. The committee is responsible for reviewing all amendments to the text or maps in the county’s development ordinances and other development-related policies. The Wake County Planning Board reviews and advises the Wake County Commission about zoning and planning matters subject to the County’s jurisdiction. The Wake County Commission appointed Mr. Martin to the Planning Board in February 2010.

Mr. Martin focuses his practice on commercial litigation, construction and real estate. He represents clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and helps prepare and negotiate commercial and construction contracts. He also has experience advising companies in connection with government contracting and public construction work and assisting clients with financing and acquiring real property.
