Merrill Mason is Star Networker in 2010 Speed Networking for Sustainable Entrepreneurs

Raleigh, NC (February 26, 2010) – Merrill Mason, a Smith Anderson partner practicing in the area of Securities and Growth Companies, participated in the 2010 BASE Speed Networking for Sustainable Entrepreneurs on February 15, 2010. Mason also participated in the 2009 networking event.

Speed Networking is designed as a way for local sustainable entrepreneurs to meet each other and form business connections. Over the course of sixty minutes, participants meet briefly with each of the other participants in their field. After the end of each brief meeting, participants quickly alternate their seating arrangements to pair up with their next networking opportunity. Each group includes one or more “star” networkers who are successful sustainable entrepreneurs and business development experts who are leaders in their field.

BASE (the UNC Business Accelerator for Sustainable Entrepreneurship) is a program of the Center for Sustainable Enterprise at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, BASE supports early-stage businesses that address the triple bottom line: financial profitability, social equity and environmental sustainability. Launched in spring 2008, BASE connects sustainable entrepreneurs to a range of business development resources with the goal of accelerating their growth and impact.
