Henry A. Mitchell, Jr. Honored by North Carolina Bar Association

Raleigh, NC (October 16, 2009) – Henry A. Mitchell, Jr. a partner of Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, was honored on Wednesday , October 14 when the Henry A. Mitchell Justice Fund was established at a dedication ceremony at the North Carolina Bar Center in Cary. An endowment fund of the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation, the Mitchell Justice Fund has been earmarked for the Legal Aid of North Carolina Fund. John Wester, President of the North Carolina Bar Association, presided at the ceremony, which featured remarks from Raleigh attorneys John Jernigan, Sammy Thompson, and Steve Smith.

Justice Funds honor North Carolina lawyers, past and present, whose careers have demonstrated dedication to the pursuit of justice and outstanding service to the profession and the public.

Mitchell has practiced with Smith Anderson since 1963 in the areas of corporate, regulatory and insurance law. He represents banking and insurance clients as well as domestic companies and foreign-owned companies principally located in the Research Triangle Park.
