Dana Simpson Selected to Serve on UNC-Chapel Hill’s Board of Visitors

Raleigh (July 2009)-Dana Simpson, Smith Anderson partner, has been selected to serve on the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Visitors for a four year term. The UNC Board of Visitors assists the university in a range of activities including public relations, government relations, fundraising, and recruiting top students to attend the University of North Carolina.

In addition to serving on the Board of Visitors, Mr. Simpson is involved in a number of other activities at UNC. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the UNC Program on Public Life Advisory Council and as a member of the UNC Law Alumni Association Advancement Committee. Mr. Simpson has also participated as a guest lecturer at both the UNC School of Law and UNC School of Government.

Mr. Simpson practices in the areas of health care, administrative law, and government relations. He regularly advises clients regarding legislative and regulatory advocacy and was rated one of the top 15 “Most Influential lobbyists in the 2007-2008 General Assembly in a survey by the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research. Mr. Simpson also provides corporate and regulatory counsel to health care providers and their professional associations.
