Christopher Smith to Serve as Treasurer of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys

Raleigh (June 2009) – At the June 2009 annual meeting of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA), Chris Smith, a partner with Smith Anderson’s litigation group, was elected to serve as treasurer of the Association. Smith previously served as Chairman of the Commercial Litigation Section from 2005-2007, and was secretary of the Board from 2007-2009.

The NCADA brings together civil litigation lawyers to promote the exchange of information; and to strengthen the practice, skills and knowledge of lawyers defending individuals and businesses in North Carolina.

Smith has significant experience in business disputes; trade secrets; environmental risk management and litigation; preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders; and with matters designated ‘exceptional’ and ‘complex.’ He advises clients on business risk management and strategy issues, and has tried numerous lawsuits to verdict.
