Jeb Jeutter Quoted in Business Journal on Possible Sale of Local Barbecue Icon

Triangle Business Journal

Jeb Jeutter was quoted in the Triangle Business Journal on the possible sale of a popular North Carolina barbecue landmark, Wilber’s Barbecue & Restaurant in Goldsboro, to GoldPit Partners who hope to acquire the bankrupt restaurant’s assets in order to carry on its legacy. Wilber’s was forced to close earlier this year, but pending the sale to GoldPit and approval by the bankruptcy court, the infamous pit cooked barbecue pit stop could reopen later this year.

Jeb helped GoldPit register to do business and described the group of individuals as “a community oriented, barbecue lovin’, bunch of folks with longstanding ties to Goldsboro.”

They each have a personal history with Wilber’s, having eaten there “since they were kids.”

“They hope to have the Court approve the sale in a few weeks, then start working hard to save this important treasure for Goldsboro, and the State of North Carolina,” he adds.
