Linville Roach Honored by The Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina

The Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, Inc. honored Smith Anderson lawyer Linville Roach with the naming of the W. Linville Roach Administration/Nursing Care Building at its main campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Linville has spent more than 20 years on the Board of Trustees of Baptist Retirement Homes, and was instrumental in founding the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation that now manages a significant endowment for the purpose of funding benevolent care for residents in the Homes who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Linville is past Chairman of the Board for both the Homes, which have grown to include four facilities around North Carolina while under his leadership, and for the Foundation.

Linville joined Smith Anderson in 1988, after twenty-nine years as in-house counsel for the Jefferson-Pilot Companies, including service as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company. Linville regularly represents HMOs, life and health insurance companies, and property and casualty insurance companies in various matters before the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
