Partner J. Mitchell “Mitch” Armbruster was recently named chair of the Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. His one-year term as chair began July 1.
The Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Law Section is concerned primarily with issues relating to complex business litigation, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and antitrust regulation. It sponsors an annual meeting with continuing legal education presentations, a newsletter, and presentations to law school students on practicing in these areas of law. Section members also participate in pro bono initiatives and help develop the NCBA legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.
Mitch has served on the Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Section for several years, including stints as newsletter chair, legislative chair, treasurer, secretary and vice chair. He was also the course planner for the Section’s 2016 program, “The Latest in Complex Business and Chapter 75 Litigation: State and Federal Courts,” and moderated two judicial panels.
Mitch practices in the areas of commercial and administrative litigation. He has handled a wide variety of business disputes, administrative agency and public records disputes, and antitrust matters. For more information on Mitch and his practice, visit his bio page.
