Richard Stevens Joins Board of Directors of North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research

Raleigh, N.C. - Smith Anderson lawyer Richard Stevens has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research (NCCPPR). Richard will serve a three year term beginning January 1, 2015. As a Member of the Board, he will help drive the NCCPPR’s mission and purpose, and make recommendations for improving the way North Carolina government serves the people of this state.

Founded in 1977, the NCCPPR is still one of only six independent, state-level policy centers in the country. NCCPPR is a 501(c)(3) independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the goals of a better-informed public and more effective, accountable and responsive government. The Center is governed by a 23-member Board of Directors designed to mirror the population of North Carolina in its proportions of men and women; African Americans, Caucasians, and Hispanics; Republicans, Democrats, and Independents; from the East, West and Piedmont.
