David Hayden Moderates Roundtable with Congresswoman Ellmers and the North Carolina Defense Business Association

Raleigh, N.C. – On September 30, 2014, David Hayden, a lawyer in Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting practice, moderated a discussion with Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, representing the Second District in North Carolina, and 18 members of the North Carolina Defense Business Association (NCDBA). David is the Legislative Committee Chair and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of NCDBA. Discussion topics included: the significant government slow-down in issuing solicitations and awarding contracts this last fiscal year; changes to procurement rules that would benefit locally owned businesses; and the development of a unified strategy among our federally elected officials to protect the military presence and defense businesses in N.C.
