Kim Korando and Freddie Zufelt Speak at University of North Carolina School of Law Privacy Event

Raleigh, NC (April 15, 2011) – Kim Korando, Group Leader of Smith Anderson’s Employment, Labor and Human Resources practice group, and Freddie Zufelt, an attorney in Smith Anderson’s Health Care and Information Privacy and Security practice groups, presented a program entitled “Privacy for Employers and Employees in a Technological Age” at the University of North Carolina School of Law on April 14, 2011. The program, sponsored by the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology, addressed the myriad legal and compliance issues faced by employers in connection with employee background checks, workplace surveillance, and employee monitoring, and the pervasive and rapidly evolving use of technology for such activities. Ms. Korando and Mr. Zufelt were joined by UNC Law Professor Anne Klinefelter, who addressed these issues in the public employer context.
