Quintiles Completes Initial Public Stock Offering

Smith Anderson serves as lead counsel as Quintiles goes public for the second time

RALEIGH, N.C. – Research Triangle-based Quintiles Transnational Holdings Inc., the world’s largest biopharmaceutical services company, completed its Initial Public Stock Offering (IPO) on May 14, 2013. The stock is now listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “Q.” Quintiles called on Smith Anderson partners, Gerald Roach, Amy Batten and Heyward Armstrong to lead the legal team throughout the $1.09B transaction, one of this year’s largest IPOs. 

This marks the second time that Smith Anderson has assisted Quintiles in an initial public offering.  The Company first went public in 1994, followed by a privatization in 2003.
