Overview

Mark Rothrock practices general business litigation and advises clients in complex business disputes across multiple sectors, including the construction industry.

Mark is a novice triathlete and recently completed a 50-mile race and and an Ironman 70.3 in North Carolina. Outside of the office, he enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his family.

military service 

In 2010, Mark was commissioned as an active-duty officer in the United States Marine Corps. On active duty, Mark served as a tank platoon commander, tank company executive officer and foreign forces advisor to the Afghan Border Police during a 2012-2013 deployment to Afghanistan. Mark also served as the Marine Officer Instructor and as an assistant professor of naval science at NYC NROTC, teaching and mentoring midshipmen from Columbia University, Fordham University and SUNY Maritime College. In 2017, Mark transitioned to the United States Marine Corps Reserve and served as the commanding officer for Company A, 4th Tank Battalion from 2019-2020. In 2020, Company A won the General Clifton B. Cates Award, recognizing the unit as the top-ranked company in 4th Marine Division. Mark’s personal awards include two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and the Select Marine Corps Reserve Medal. Major Rothrock currently serves as the commanding officer of Company D, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion based in Quantico, Virginia.
