Overview
Dallin Seguine is a member of Smith Anderson’s Corporate, Start-Ups and Mergers & Acquisitions teams, representing clients in the structuring and execution of financings, acquisitions and other strategic transactions. He works with companies from formation through exit, delivering practical legal solutions designed to move deals forward and bring transactions to a successful close.
With a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Dallin brings a rigorous, yet practical, analytical and technical perspective to his work advising Life Sciences, technology and other innovation-driven clients. He has experience counseling companies on the development and commercialization of intellectual property and technology assets, including through the structuring and negotiation of research, development, licensing and other strategic collaboration and acquisition transactions.
In his prior role at a large national law firm, Dallin regularly led and supported deal teams of all sizes, taking an active role in drafting and negotiating key transaction documents and helping manage diligence, disclosures and closings. He also advised startup and emerging companies on formation, financing and exit transactions and counseled domestic and international businesses on a broad range of commercial and strategic agreements.
Originally from Philadelphia, Dallin enjoys spending time with his wife, their three daughters and their mini goldendoodle Molly. He likes board games, DIY home improvement projects and following Philadelphia sports teams (though he is embracing the Hurricanes to become a true Raleigh local).
