Overview
Shawn Parker is a member of the firm’s Health Care team within the Regulatory group, where he advises clients on health care policy, legislative advocacy, executive strategy, and regulatory guidance concerning business planning of organized medicine. Shawn has 15 years of experience working in both government and private sectors and serves a number of state and national non-profit companies and their boards as a de facto General Counsel. He regularly provides strategic general counsel services to nonprofits, associations, including governance matters, participating in board meetings, reviewing and modifying bylaws and assisting with board and committee structure.Helping shape the future of medical regulation, Shawn serves as a director-at-large on the Federation of State Medical Boards' Board of Directors and is a North Carolina Medical Board Public Member
From 2004 to 2012 he worked with the North Carolina General Assembly as a senior staff attorney. Shawn has extensive experience in public policy development and analysis, the legislative process and legislative drafting.
