Smith Anderson Welcomed Seven New Associates in 2018
Smith Anderson, the largest law firm headquartered in the Research Triangle region, welcomed Jordan Fieldstein, Tim McKeever, David Pasley, Casey Vaughn, Kendra White, Cameron Williamson and Patrick Wilson as the firm’s newest associates in 2018. The additions also include military veteran Patrick Wilson.
Jordan Fieldstein joined Smith Anderson with a focus on tax, corporate and business law matters, with an emphasis on general representation of closely-held businesses and its owners, and private equity transactions. Jordan routinely advises flow-through businesses, such as limited liability companies, partnerships and S corporations. Prior to joining the firm, Jordan was a tax associate at a respected Connecticut-based law firm. She has an LL.M degree in Taxation and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, Timothy (Tim) McKeever joined Smith Anderson with a focus on advising public and private companies as well as private equity funds on a wide range of corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Tim was an associate in the Raleigh office of a London-based international law firm.
Prior to joining Smith Anderson, David Pasley served as a law clerk for Judge Thomas Schroeder of the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. David joined the firm's Litigation practice group where he assists clients with business litigation matters. During his studies at the University of North Carolina School of Law, he was a merit scholarship recipient and received the 2015 Gressman-Pollitt Award for Best Overall Oral Advocacy.
William “Casey” Vaughn joined Smith Anderson as an associate in the Construction and Litigation practice groups where he represents contractors, owners, developers, sureties and design professionals in a variety of disputes and construction-related matters. Prior to joining the firm, Casey practiced at a large international law firm where he worked on a wide range of complex commercial and construction disputes. Casey is graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
A magna cum laude graduate of the North Carolina Central University School of Law, Kendra White joined Smith Anderson as an associate in its Mergers & Acquisitions practice group. Kendra’s law school accolades include serving as President of the Business Law Society and Senior Editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review.
Prior to joining Smith Anderson, Cameron Williamson practiced corporate law in the New York offices of two large international law firms. He also worked as an honors program extern in the Enforcement Division of the U.S Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Cameron focuses on corporate, mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions. He is a graduate of the Duke University School of Law.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the University of Maryland and the University of North Carolina School of Law, Patrick (Pat) Wilson joined Smith Anderson as an associate in its Real Estate Development practice group where he focuses on construction litigation and real estate development litigation. Patrick earned a master’s in government and politics, and from 2009-2015, Pat served his country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to joining the firm, Pat served clients at a pro bono legal clinic for veterans and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina and the North Carolina Supreme Court.
