Smith Anderson Joins Forces with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County’s Women Build Project
Raleigh, N.C. – On November 15th and December 6th, a team of 15 women lawyers from Smith Anderson traded in their books for hammers to participate in Habitat for Humanity of Wake County’s Women Build program. Smith Anderson is also a corporate sponsor of the project and is supporting the building of two new homes in the White Oak Villas neighborhood in Apex, N.C.
Habitat for Humanity of Wake County’s Women Build is supported by diverse groups of women – professionals, students, congregations, management teams, community leaders, book clubs, garden clubs, friends, and neighbors – who come together to fund the entire build project and build a home. The project aims to empower women to take leadership roles in construction and learn new skills while building a home for a hardworking family in need of safe, affordable housing.
