Sharita Whitaker Appointed Chair of NCBA’s Minorities in the Profession Committee
Raleigh, N.C. – Smith Anderson Associate Sharita Whitaker was appointed to serve as Chair of the Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association. In her role as Chair, Sharita will be responsible for overseeing the MIP Committee’s two subcommittees: the “Preparing to Practice” and “Promoting the Practice” Subcommittees, which are committed to the development and support of minority law students and lawyers.

Sharita focuses her practice in the areas of Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Development. She assists clients with real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leasing. In addition to mentoring law students and new lawyers through the NCBA MIP Committee, she is an active North Carolina Central University School of Law alumna.
