Reappointed to State Commission For Third Time, Andrew Atkins Will Continue to Help Review Rules of Government Agencies

The North Carolina General Assembly has reappointed Smith Anderson Attorney Andrew Atkins to the North Carolina Rules Review Commission (RRC).

The RRC is the executive agency created by the General Assembly in 1986 and is charged with reviewing and approving rules adopted by state agencies. The commission consists of 10 commissioners appointed by the General Assembly, five on the recommendation of the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, currently Phil Berger, and five on the recommendation of the Speaker of the House, currently Tim Moore.

Andrew was first appointed to the RRC in 2017. He is a member of the firm’s Construction and Commercial Litigation practice groups and represents owners, contractors and developers in multi-party disputes involving public and private commercial projects. He is also regularly involved in other commercial, contract and business-related disputes.
