Kim Korando Presents Webinar for North Carolina Medical Group Managers and North Carolina Medical Society Foundation

Raleigh, NC (June 24, 2011) Kim Korando, a partner with Smith Anderson’s Employment, Labor and Human Resources practice group, presented a webinar entitled: Retooling Your Practices to Comply with New ADAA Regulations on Wednesday, June 15. Ms. Korando’s audience included members of the North Carolina Medical Group Managers and the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation.

During the webinar, Ms. Korando explained the EEOC’s Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment regulations that went into effect May 24, 2011. The new regulations impose greater obligations on certain covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations to employees who have health conditions that impose restrictions on their ability to do their job and increase legal liability for practices terminating or failing to hire due to concerns about physical conditions.
