Jackson Moore and David Hayden Speak at Small Business and Technology Development Center’s Supplier Diversity Workshop

RALEIGH, N.C. – Jackson Moore and David Hayden, lawyers with Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting practice, recently delivered two seminars on “Mentor-Protégé Programs” and “SBA Audit – Best Practices” in conjunction with the Small Business and Technology Development Center’s (SBTDC) Supplier Diversity Workshop on  May 30, 2013 at the SAS Institute in Cary, N.C.  The SBTDC Supplier Diversity Workshop was a training session for supplier diversity managers and small business liaison officers to strengthen their supplier diversity knowledge and programs.

Jackson and David regularly speak to members of the business community on government contracting and other legal issues. At the Workshop, they discussed various Mentor-Protégé Programs offered by federal government agencies and how they could be implemented in practice, including use of joint venture agreements and other teaming arrangements.  They also addressed best business practices for government contracting businesses and how to best prepare for potential audits by the Small Business Association and other federal agencies.
