David Hayden Speaks at North Carolina Military Business Center’s Defense Contractor Academy
RALEIGH, N.C. – David Hayden, a lawyer with Smith Anderson’s Government Contracts practice group, recently delivered a seminar on “Bid Protests and Debriefings” in conjunction with the North Carolina Military Business Center’s Defense Contractor Academy on October 30, 2013 in Charlotte, N.C. The Academy offers hours of advanced instruction to existing defense and other federal contractors, and provides the tools needed to grow the federal contracting portion of their business portfolio.
David regularly speaks to members of the business community on government contracting and other legal issues. At the Academy, he discussed recent legal and regulatory developments and trends in bid protests and debriefings involving federal government agencies. David also discussed recent changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulations as well as decisions on bid protests from the United States Government Accountability Office and federal courts.
David has extensive experience in government contracting, general corporate and employment law. He regularly advises companies and their directors and officers on corporate governance matters and other general corporate and business topics. He also represents a variety of defense contractors, advising on a broad range of federal contracting corporate issues such as International Trafficking in Arms Regulations (ITAR), corporate ethics, and organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) compliance issues.
