Matt Martin Named Audit Committee Chair of Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina

Raleigh, NC (June 30, 2010) – Smith Anderson lawyer Matt Martin has been named Chair of the Audit Committee of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. He has served on the Food Bank’s Board of Directors since 2008.

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a non-profit organization that provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina. In 2009-10, the Food Bank distributed more than 40 million pounds of food through 800 partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, churches, and after school programs for children.

Mr. Martin regularly advises clients regarding commercial dispute resolution, contracts, real estate, and construction matters.
