Smith Anderson Welcomes Two Lawyers to the Firm Partnership

Raleigh, NC (January 5, 2010) - Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, L.L.P. is pleased to announce the election two lawyers to the firm's partnership, effective January 1, 2010. The new partners bring experience in corporate and tax law as well as commercial real estate and land use and zoning. These additions to the partnership continue Smith Anderson's focus and tradition of attracting and retaining lawyers with diverse backgrounds and experience to serve the complex and changing needs of firm clients.

Matt Rhoad joined Smith Anderson after completing a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Sarah Parker of the North Carolina Supreme Court. He practices in the areas of land use and zoning; condemnation; and commercial real estate transactions and disputes.

Kimberly Swintosky practices in the areas of federal and state income and estate taxation; corporate partnership and limited liability company law; mergers and acquisitions and general business and contract law. Before joining Smith Anderson, she worked as a tax consultant with Arthur Anderson, LLP and is a Certified Public Accountant.
