Smith Anderson Lawyers Present at the NCMBC Defense Contractor Academy

RALEIGH, N.C. – On Thursday, February 9, 2012, Smith Anderson lawyers Jackson Moore and David Hayden presented a class on “Teaming Agreements: Subcontracts, Joint Ventures and Mentor-Protégé Programs” to business representatives attending the North Carolina Military Business Center’s Defense Contractor Academy. The presentation reviewed and compared team building strategies relevant to federal contracting; assessed the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy; and discussed how to develop teaming agreements with other companies to succeed in federal government contracting. The presentation provided students with practical, real world information on the legal issues facing new and small businesses in the defense contracting sector.
