Kim Korando Co-Facilitated a Workshop on Selection Interviewing Sponsored by Duke University's Business School

On June 21, 2006, Smith Anderson partner Kim Korando and Daniel Nagy, Associate Dean at Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business, co-facilitated a workshop on Selection Interviewing. The workshop taught human resource and other professionals involved in recruiting an approach to interviewing designed to solicit practical, critical information from the candidate during the interview process. Over the past 17 years, several thousand human resource practitioners have learned these strategies.

Ms. Korando heads Smith Anderson's employment law practice group. She has extensive experience assisting employers with federal and state employment law compliance and prevention of employee lawsuits. Her experience includes developing and evaluating workplace policies, practices and procedures and she has sat on and advised numerous company task forces and committees charged with policy development. Ms. Korando co-founded the Institute for Human Resources Training (www.ihrtus.com), an organization dedicated to researching, developing and teaching human resources compliance strategies. Her honors include listing in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.
