Susan Milner Parrott Reappointed to the North Carolina State Bar Board of Continuing Legal Education

The North Carolina State Bar Council reappointed Smith Anderson partner Susan Milner Parrott to the Board for Continuing Legal Education for a second three-year term. Ms. Parrott's second term will expire on October 31, 2008. Nine lawyers from across the State are selected to participate on the Board.

The Board provides service to members of the North Carolina State Bar and the public by ensuring that lawyers maintain a high level of professional competence through continuing legal education. It also increases opportunities for legal education throughout the state thereby making mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirements easier for lawyers to meet.

Ms. Parrott practices in the areas of Employment and Appellate Advocacy. In her representation of management, she advises clients on diverse matters including compliance with state and federal employment-related laws; development, interpretation and enforcement of employment agreements; non-competition and non-disclosure agreements; employee handbooks; workplace policies; wage and hour compliance; and audit and complaint investigations.
