Walter Rogers Speaks at Tax Law Seminar

RALEIGH, N.C. – Walter Rogers, a partner with Smith Anderson’s Tax Group, spoke at the NC Bar Association Foundation’s Advanced Estate Planning Survey Course on April 19, 2012 in Cary, North Carolina. Mr. Rogers’s topic was “Advising Clients on Charitable Planning Options: Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trust, and Private Foundations.”

Mr. Rogers represents a variety of clients in matters involving federal, state and local taxation, as well as business transactions with tax implications. He is regularly involved with tax planning for businesses, individuals, trusts and estates, as well as with resolving tax controversies and advising tax-exempt organizations in matters of formation and operation. He has written and lectured on various tax subjects including partnership taxation, tax-free exchanges, mergers and acquisitions, tax-exempt organizations, and as estate and trust planning and administration.
