Merrill Mason Serves as Coach-on-Call at Duke University’s DUhatch Class

RALEIGH, N.C. – On February 20, 2013, Merrill Mason served as a “coach-on-call” at Duke University’s DUhatch class and donated his experienced legal advice to students regarding their new business ventures. 

DUhatch connects enterprising students with mentors from faculty and industry, giving them office space and facilitating business development to help solve the myriad of problems that a fledgling venture faces. The goal of the program is to propel existing Duke start-ups to the next stage of operation, with the end goal of creating sustainable ventures.

With extensive experience representing technology and life sciences companies, Merrill represents entrepreneurial and emerging enterprises. He is passionate about working with developing entrepreneurs and law students. He has taught as an adjunct instructor at several local universities and served as a judge in numerous university-led start-up competitions.
