Raleigh, NC (April 14, 2011) - Smith Anderson lawyers, including Margaret Rosenfeld and Geoff Krouse, participated in the 2011 Capital Conference sponsored by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) on April 12 and 13 at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club in Durham. Smith Anderson sponsored the Deal of the Year award presented at the event.
Ms. Rosenfeld is President-Elect and a board member of the ACG’s Triangle chapter. Mr. Krouse is co-chair of the chapter’s Programming Committee and moderated the Deal of the Year Award panel discussion during the conference. This award highlights a transaction involving the acquisition or divestiture of a North or South Carolina company by a private equity group in 2010. According to Mr. Krouse: “The conference had record attendance this year, as local, regional and national private equity, investment banking and other deal-making professionals gathered in the Triangle for this premier event. We believe this indicates both an increase in deal-making activity generally, as well as a particular interest in the Triangle market.”
Ms. Rosenfeld and Mr. Krouse are both partners with Smith Anderson whose practices include Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions.
